Waking up at 5 AM to play basketball is something only really dedicated people do. It’s not easy getting out of bed when it’s still dark, but the ones who do are super focused and tough. The people who show up that early really love the game and want to get better, even when everyone else is sleeping. When I first noticed the workshop, it was during Christmas break of 2023. My son Kaylen loves basketball and is my early morning riser so I pitched him the idea of going just to see what it was like and he was so excited! At that time, I didn’t realize what type of community the workshop provided. I quickly learned that they were great role models for the community and help improve my child skills. Yes! but it was so much deeper than that. Constantly encouraging each other, cheering for each other, pushing the kids to do their best with positive reinforcement and really building that family on the court.
